Coupled with Nikon's best glass, the results are stunning. My left over film stocks are going to the local art school. balance the bad reviews i own a d700 and i love it and if i shot fashion or landscape and had the money i would definitely buy this camera. people who say $8k is too much do not realize that medium format cameras and lenses can go up to $60k yes for that price you get 40mp. but pros still buy those because they need the resolution. when people rate something they should own it. the only reason i am rating D3x is to balance the bad reviews. Love this SLR I had a F4 so thought I would jump on the digital train. This camera is like a fine tuned porsche and built like a tank. The pictures are amazing in raw and jpg. Bought a couple for the gran kids and they love them too.
